Skin Science Infrastructure
At Lall Hospitals, our commitment to excellence and world-class service comes by virtue of our robust infrastructure. The belief that machines and equipment are as important as the professionals behind the machine has led to continual investment in cutting-edge surgical and diagnostic technology for patient care. Strong infrastructure coupled with the latest, most sophisticated technology equips us to provide quality healthcare.
Operation Theatre
Lall Skin Science is equipped with a separate, state of the art, minor Operation Theatre with easy access to the hospital’s main OT complex equipped with a ventilator and a centralised oxygen supply for all types of skin procedures. A spacious room with ample natural night and quick access to the cafeteria is also available for laser procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Laser
The gold standard in ablative lasers, the CO2 laser works by sending out an invisible laser light beam that vaporises the affected tissue. It emits an invisible infrared beam at 10,600 nm, targeting both intracellular and extracellular water. When the water-containing tissue absorbs the light energy, skin vaporisation occurs. The CO2 laser treatment ensures minimal discomfort and rapid recovery, enabling a quick return to daily routine for the patients.
The ResurFXâ„¢ laser by Lumenis
The ResurFXâ„¢ laser by Lumenis is a new FDA-approved, advanced functioning non-ablative laser system that is extremely effective and patient-friendly. ResurFXâ„¢ uses a 1565 nm fibre laser and a very advanced scanner, which enables the doctor to choose from more than 600 combinations of shape, size and density for optimal treatment. The ResurFXâ„¢ handpiece is equipped with continuous contact cooling, to increase patient comfort during treatment.
The laser is delivered to the skin in tiny dots, penetrating the lower layers in one pass, stimulating the skin to develop collagen without harm. The ResurFXâ„¢ laser ensures optimum results with minimum downtime.
Acupulse Laser
The Acupulse Fractional Carbon Dioxide (CO2) lasers, one of the latest advances in non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatments, is an aggressive laser treatment for deeper scars and wrinkles requiring more downtime and intensive post-treatment care to minimise exposure to the sun, dust etc. The laser removes layers of skin in a fractionated method – columns of skin are removed, leaving the skin surrounding each column intact to aid in healing. This process also stimulates the formation of new collagen, providing better elasticity and support to the skin.
Q-switched Nd: YAG Laser
The Q-switched Neodymium-Doped Yttrium Aluminium Garnet (Nd: YAG) laser is very effective for epidermal (superficial) and dermal (deep) pigmentation. While treating epidermal pigmentation, a specific laser wavelength that is sensitive to a particular colour is chosen to target the lesion while sparing the surrounding normal tissue. The lesion can be treated precisely and accurately with no complication resulting in fast and complete improvement.
For deeper pigments, the nanosecond pulse penetrates the skin without damaging it, breaking down the deep pigments into small particles that are absorbed by the white blood cells and removed.
LightSheer Desire, a Diode Laser by Lumenis
Lumenis, a leader in laser and energy-based technologies, developed the LightSheer Desire, the new generation of laser hair reduction system. The LightSheer Desire is a portable laser hair removal system that works with diode wavelength 805 nm. It includes two advanced technologies – High-Speed Vacuum Assisted technology and ChillTipâ„¢ Integrated Contact Cooling technology, and three handpieces for treating all the body areas. With the added benefit of treating pigmented lesions, the hair removal treatment is effective, fast and comfortable.
Lab for PRP Therapy
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a special therapy where the patient’s own blood is withdrawn to extract the platelet-rich plasma which is then re-injected into the body for skin care or hair growth. At Lall Skin Science Centre we have a fully equipped lab for plasma preparations used for PRP Therapy. This ensures quick access to fresh PRP for best results.
Radiofrequency Machine
The radiofrequency machine is required to pass radio waves onto the skin to perform the removal or reshaping of lesions during the radiofrequency surgery.
Cryotherapy
At Lall Skin Science Centre, we have a special in-house storage facility for Liquid Nitrogen. With a temperature range of -195 to -210 degrees C, it is used to destroy skin growth using extreme cold during cryotherapy.
Electrocautery Machine
The electrocautery machine is used to destroy abnormal skin growths with electric current.
